要革新版面設計，我們必須融合中文傳統編法和歐美新式編法。報禁開放以來，中文傳統的梯形版面、多行標題、花邊美工漸趨式微，歐美的單元式規劃、塊狀組合、視覺震撼中心躍為主流；但由於中西報紙新聞則數、大小搭配的做法迥異，硬把中文新聞填入西式版面，猶如拿刀叉吃中餐，格格不入，因此，中文版面設計還有大幅革新的空間和必要。
